Right down the street from our Davis Road residence is the MSPCA. Several times a year, our Residents go to visit, shower the animals with some much-appreciated attention, and bring a few donations. Recently, one of our amazing Colleagues, Holly Janco, saw that the horses had unmet needs and decided to put her WOW! Magic to work. Our ATI mission of bringing out the best in everyone we touch because life matters, and yes, that include horses, was put into action.
Davis Road is famous for its parties, especially parties with fun and food involved. Colleagues of the home, working as a team with our Residents, decided that they would hold an ice cream social and ask guests to bring a donation of specific supplies needed by the MSPCA for the horses.
Of course it was a great success! Everyone had such fun. There was an ice cream eating contest and prizes for the winners. But the biggest winners were the horses at the MSPCA, who were showered with necessary, and maybe a few bonus, supplies.
