StarWorks’ Career Counselors are American Training’s job development and placement services STARS!
We have such an immense love and passion for seeking, obtaining, and assisting with maintaining employment for our Guests, that we just can’t contain ourselves!
One of our Guests, James, had been seeking a full-time mechanic position, while serving in the Marine Corps. James is a personable, loyal, and all around great Guest. And our StarWorks team was so overjoyed when they helped him find a position and get hired at Meineke in Salem, NH! He was absolutely elated!
But the elation wore off as he realized he didn’t have the proper tools to work independently, and was unable to afford them.
This is where our StarWorks team really kicked into gear and brought the WOW! Magic! By using resources through the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, we were able to help James purchase roughly $1,500 worth of tools, PLUS work clothes from Work N’ Gear to get him started on his journey to successful employment.
Needless to say, James was a very grateful young man, which warms our hearts just knowing we were able to make this happen for him ♥
