WOW! Magic is hard to explain, because it’s really more of something you see and feel. It’s something you experience.
Today our Colleagues and Guests brought the WOW! Magic to three lucky locations, as they traveled from Department of Developmental Services Lowell to Whittier Rehab Hospital to Northeast Rehab Hospital, spreading Christmas cheer by caroling for each site!
The first stop saw a big crowd, as colleagues of the DDS office in Lowell gathered in the lobby for an Outrageously Memorable performance. Our carolers were just a few songs in as the crowd joined in on Rudolph and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The performance concluded to the sound of roaring applause.
On our way out, one of our carolers Mallory, said she felt really good about herself after such a successful endeavor. The confidence was contagious and carried us to our next stop.
Our second stop was Whittier, where we performed before a group of clients. They clapped and nodded along to our songs. But, when we got to Jingle Bells, the whole room came to life. Smiles spread across faces, words escaped mouths as everyone started to sing along. You could see and feel the WOW! Magic spreading around the room!
As we departed, one of their clients told us that she would put in a good word with Santa and ensured we’d all make it on the Nice List! (You hear that, Santa?)
We chatted about our qualifications for the Nice List as we made our way to the third and final stop of the day, Northeast Rehab. We performed for two groups that were both enthusiastic about our carols. Again, our audience couldn’t help but join in as we sang O Come, All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World. For us, the magic was seeing the crowd enjoy every second. They loved that we were there, in festive hats, singing just for them. And that made us feel the WOW! Magic!
As we sang at each site, we invited the colleague and clients to join us for our Christmas in Oz Open House on December 14, where they can enjoy tours of our programs, delicious food, like entertainment, costumed characters, a visit from Santa, and so much more!

Very cute! I can’t wait to hear them sing for us!!
