Thanksgiving was more than a week long for the American Training Family!
The holiday kicked off on November 17 with our annual Highfields Thanksgiving Party. Past and present Residents of the home, their families, ATI Family included, friends, and community Partners gathered at the home for a feast of all the Thanksgiving favorites.
The tour continued to each of our Day Programs.
Everyone enjoyed an incredible and delicious Thanksgiving dinner. In Andover, the meal was prepared by Colleagues and served by wonderful volunteers from Lawrence Technical High School and the Wetherbee School. The family member of a Guest so kindly and generously donated the meal for our Lowell programs. And in Wakefield, the meal was accompanied by our homemade “Thankful Board” which detailed everything we’re thankful for this year, like our friends, family, food, shelter, health, pets, each other, and much more!
Our Lowell program even brought some food along to the Lowell Transitional Center for the Homeless. Our Colleagues said they received this donation with open arms and grateful hearts. “We were blessed to have this very generous donation and couldn’t be happier to be able to give back to our own community as well,” said Colleague Wendy Jackson.
The tour made its final stop at each of our Residential homes. Just before heading off to enjoy Thanksgiving with our own families, our Colleagues in Specialized Housing delivered fabulous pies, made just for our Residents by Buttermilk Baking, to each and every home.

We are so grateful to have so much to be thankful for. And that includes every single one of you, our American Training Family, friends, Partners, and supporters!
